For all Woodwinds

Vandoren Reeds (6^th Grade usually starts on size 2, upper grades should know what size they are on.)

 

For all Brass

Oil and Grease (I like Blue Juice for oil, but your music doctor’s rep can help you if that is unavailable)

Instead of Oil, Trombones will need Yamaha Slide Lubricant

Trigger trombones will need rotor oil and linkage oil

 

 

For parents wanting to buy a beginner instrument, Jupiter and Yamaha are two good options for beginners/intermediate. For other brands, buying used, or if you are attempting to purchase from anywhere other than Music Doctors, please reach out to me prior to purchasing. There are good horns out there from a lot of great brands, but these two usually have solid student line models. Before purchasing any professional or intermediate horn, please reach out to me so I can give better suggestions that fit your child’s instrum
